About Me

My name is Erik Granstrom. I am From Portland, Oregon and went to high school at Sam Barlow High School in Gresham, Oregon. I am a proud graduate of the class of 1997. I attended Mount Hood Community College during 1997-99 and from August of 1999 to August of 2003 I lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota where I attended the University of North Dakota. My first week in Grand Forks I joined Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. I graduated in May of 2002 with a B.A. in History and attended one semester of the Graduate School of History at the University of North Dakota.ç

After that I lived in Grand Forks and worked for a while in a failed attempt to save money for my travel plans.

I worked at:
The El Roco Nightclub as a bouncer and bartender;
The China Garden Restaurant as a delivery driver;
and at the Green Mill as a pizza cook.

In August of 2003 I decided to move home to Portland to work for my parents as the office manager of their Christmas Wreath Company.

In January 2004 I left to start traveling. The trip started in Fiji, then Australia, South America and finally home on July 6th, 2004. In August I was off to Charleston, South Carolina for Pi Kappa Phi's 100th Birthday!

I spent the fall of 2004 working another season for my parents and the spring 2005 working for my parents tree nursery. During the summer I am remodling the house I bought on June 20th, 2005 and selling hemp jewelry.
