It has begun!
Pete and I landed in Nadi, Fiji this morning after a tiring all night flight. We are staying at the Western Hostel (US$6 each per night) and formulating our game plan.

One week left in the homeland...
I depart for my travels in one week. I just have to pack together all the stuff I have been getting ready for the last few months and I will be all set.
I am a big fan of the website wheresgeorge.com I started marking bills a couple months ago and it has been very interesting and fun to find out where my money ends up once in leaves my hands. One of the funny places one of my bills showed up at (as described by the users note): “I found this bill on the floor of a porn video store in Portland, Oregon. I was on my way out after getting an eye full.”

Thanksgiving Update
Pete and I leave in a month (Dec. 28th) for Australia. We have a 10-day stop in Fiji and then we arrive in Sydney. Then its off to Melbourne for a while to visit Pete's dad and then off to explore the rest of Australia.

October Update
I started working full time last week for my parents. I am the office manager of their Christmas wreath business. Amazingly I have gotten used to waking up at 6:30am. A real feat if you know me.
I finally got an awesome photo gallery installed to my site. Access it through the Photo Gallery link on the menu. I will be adding more photos and descriptions as I find time.

I feel home.
Well, I am back in Portland now. I am living with my parents and working for them to save up money for my big trip which is going to start after Christmas.

Moving
I am going to be moving away from Grand Forks in the middle of August 2003. I am headed back to Portland, Oregon where I am going to work for my parents wreath company.
The world trip is still on. I plan on leaving with a one way ticket to Australia after Christmas and then end up in Charleston, South Carolina in August of 2004 for Pi Kappa Phi's 100th birthday celebration.

I am currently planning an extensive 8 month trip. I plan on leaving right after Christmas 2003 and first heading to Australia. Then I would like to go to New Zealand and then to South America.
